About the Intensive The EMBARK Men’s Recovery Intensive is a four-day event held at Pursell Farms designed to provide a jumpstart for the recovery journey. The EMBARK Men’s Recovery Intensive focuses specifically on sexual addiction and involves a comprehensive approach to healing that goes beyond the acting out behavior and gets to the root issues that are driving the unwanted behavior. Attendees of the intensive are divided into small groups and work with licensed counselors who are specifically trained in treating sexual addiction.

Dates & TimesJune 11-14, 2015 The intensive runs from Thursday 3:00 pm through Sunday 1:00 pm.
What to BringBring comfortable clothes for four days along with personal toiletries, medicine and any other essentials you’ll need. Bring a Bible and any personal devotional materials. Electronic devices such as cell phones, laptops, and tablets are not allowed at the workshop. Please leave them at home. If you are uncomfortable traveling without a cell phone, please turn it off before you enter the workshop site. Route1520 staff will collect all cell phones and keep them until the workshop ends.
Travel InformationPlan your travel in order to ensure that you are present for the entire intensive. If you are flying into Birmingham (BHM), plan to arrive by 1:30 PM CST in order to grab lunch and allow for travel time to Pursell Farms by registration which begins at 3:00 PM CST. Unfortunately, participants who arrive late WILL NOT be admitted to the workshop, because, as a group intensive, it is vitally important that everyone be present from the beginning. Return flights on Sunday should be booked at 3:00 PM CST or later to ensure participants do not have to leave before the conclusion of the intensive. Transportation from the airport is provided on Thursday and Sunday, so participants do not need to rent a car. Due to the long days that can be taxing emotionally, participants are encouraged to arrive as rested and focused as possible.
Intensive AgendaThe intensive agenda is intense and specifically designed to maximize each participant’s time and investment. Much more than a retreat, the EMBARK Men’s Recovery Intensive consists of a combination of instruction, therapeutic exercises, and small group activities. Both cognitive and experiential interventions are employed. Topics include:
